Delete your account and data
Madar account holders (restaurant staff and managers)
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account.
By email: write to privacy@madar-pos.cloud from your account's email address. We respond within 30 days.
What is deleted
Your user profile, name, email address, credentials, sessions and personal settings.
What is kept, and why
Business records are not deleted with your account. Orders you processed, shifts you worked and payslips issued to you form part of the restaurant's records, which it must keep for accounting, tax and employment purposes. Removing an employee's login does not erase the restaurant's accounting history — and could not, lawfully.
Once your account is deleted those records no longer identify you by login, and remaining identifiers are removed or replaced where the law allows. Periods are listed in the Data Retention Schedule.
Diners (delivery and reservation customers)
You do not have a Madar account. Your details sit in the records of the restaurant you ordered from, which is the controller of that data.
Contact that restaurant to have your details removed; when they instruct us, we act. If you cannot reach them, write to privacy@madar-pos.cloud and we will help you reach the right party.
Employees using the Dawam staff app
Your account belongs to your employer. Ask your employer, and we act on their instruction. Employment records are retained for the statutory period regardless of whether your login remains active — see the Employee Privacy Notice.
